Colònia de Sant Pere belongs to the municipality of Artà and is located directly by the sea, at the foot of the Mont Ferrutx. The village has deliberately remained quiet and clearly stands apart from the more heavily developed coastal resorts – even during the summer months.

The area is defined by low-rise buildings, with no large hotel complexes. Instead, detached houses, the small harbour and the seafront promenade shape the character of the place. The surrounding coastline offers numerous small coves and natural beaches.

Artà, with shops, restaurants and its weekly market, is just a short drive away. Other towns such as Cala Ratjada and Son Servera are also easily accessible. The Rafa Nadal Academy near Manacor can be reached in approximately 25–30 minutes.
